I discovered that MobaXterm for Windows has the nc (netcat) command, as well as many other Unix commands, like ls, ps, and kill. I wholeheartedly recommend MobaXterm, especially if you are familiar with both Unix and DOS. For me, there was nothing to install; it's just one executable that opens a terminal window in Windows that accepts many.
The amazing netcat, used for so many fantastic things. If you’re learning the basics of penetration testing look into this tool inside out.

Ncat is a feature-packed networking utility which reads and writes data across networks from the command line. Ncat was written for the Nmap Project as a much-improved reimplementation of the venerable Netcat. It uses both TCP and UDP for communication and is designed to be a reliable back-end tool to instantly provide network connectivity to. This IP address is only needed by the CentOS server. Now, on the Ubuntu system we issue the following command: nc -lp 2468 Here we are instructing netcat to listen on port 2468. John@ubuntu01-pc:$ nc -lp 2468 Now on the remote CentOS server we issue the following command: nc 192.168.0.11 2468. Nc 192.168.0.11 2468.

There is a ton of stuff you can do with netcat, and it’s awesome versatile tool. Saying that it’s unencrypted so often people can see what you’re sending and reviving which may cause issues when IDS suddenly sees shells flying across it’s network. Look into versions such as SBD or ncat.
